Finally good roads in Munnar

After the monsoon showers of last year, Munnar was left with roads that were a nightmare for drivers and tourists visiting Munnar. Travelers often cursed their decision to select Munnar as their holiday location and some of the tour operators even cancelled their package tours to Munnar. Such was the state of the roads in and around this world famous hill station.

Finally Munnar gets good roads.

Finally Munnar gets good roads.

After the huge cry from the tourism industry, the authorities woke up and started to repair the roads and finally Munnar roads got blacktop. Now you wouldn’t be thrown around inside your vehicle when traveling in and around Munnar.

    Hi Roy,
Your posts are very informative, but unfortunately they are 1-2 year old. Since we are driving to Munnar from Bangalore tomorrow – June23 2016, Need your inputs regarding the best route to take from Bangalore given its monsoon time and also condition of roads. Also pls do suggest few good not to be missed places for food and sight seeing.
    Thanks in advance
